The Regional Vice President of Operations Role
A Regional Vice President of Operations leads a group of hotels and their general managers on behalf of the management company, the owners and the brands. The role is accountable for owner returns, guest satisfaction, brand standards and the strength of the leadership teams in every property.
Day to day, the RVP reviews performance with each GM, drives revenue and cost strategy, approves budgets and forecasts, visits properties, supports sales and revenue management, and represents the company with owners, asset managers and brand partners.
The best regional leaders develop general managers, step in when a property needs help, and build trust with ownership through clear communication and results.
Candidates usually come from regional, area or multi property general manager roles with third party management companies or branded hotel owners and operators.
