Compensation

The Vice President of Operations Role
A Vice President of Operations in senior living leads the executive directors who run each community, and is accountable for resident experience, occupancy, financial results and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.
Day to day, the role visits communities, coaches and develops executive directors, reviews census, budgets and NOI, supports sales and marketing, and makes sure clinical, dining and life enrichment programs meet the company's standards and the state's requirements.
The strongest senior living operators combine a real heart for residents and families with the business discipline to keep communities full, well staffed and financially strong.
Candidates usually come from regional director or vice president of operations roles with senior living or continuing care operators, often after running communities as an executive director.
